Sajid’s lamyerda.. as Everhh…
INDIA --a historical place, so I’ve heard. Most of my friends asked me, "Why India?" when I chose to visit this country. Some of them told me disgusting stories, some says it's a great place. I did not care. I was excited to be there and see a different country aside from my own country, deal with the people with different culture, talk with them with a foreign language--English is their national language. They have thousands of dialects, but Hindu is the one they use in every conversation to their locals. I was excited to be in a different country and walk on their streets asking where is this place or that place. So exciting for me every time I think about it. I arrived around 7 in the evening in New Delhi and the wind blew on my face, "India!" I just said. It was a different smell. Not bad but just different. And I was like walking with a big bonfire next along the sideways. It is too hot. It was 45 degrees when I arrived on June 5. On taxis, I should have been careful but it was all done, Indians are tricky. I toured around and eat to their restaurants. One restaurant served me some onions doused on vinegar and with a dip of yogurt with pulverized mint leaves. I tried it but I puked. It was a strange taste! After a day in Delhi and seeing the Masjid Mosque, Humayun's Tomb, the Gate of India, Lotus Temple, the Red Fort, the Old City, the British City they built after the World War II where the Embassies are on the same road next to each other (it's a nice place), the statues (Mahatma Gandhi etc.), the Hindu Temples, etc., I traveled to the southeastern part place, of 5 hours sweating on a hot day, called Agra, where the Taj Mahal is located. It is so amazing! What a fantastic structure! Built by the Emperor Shah Jahan for his wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who died after giving birth to their 14th child on 1631. Construction began the same year and was not completed till 1653. The mausoleum costs US$70M today. And by the moonlight, the Taj reflects a different color like orange or kind of maple color because of the marbles they have used. Agra is just a small city. I walked through their small alleys talking to some locals but I usually just ignoring them for they sell you lots of little stuffs you won't really need in your life. They smile at you when you look at them. But in 3 days staying there I noticed that no one really wear short pants on public. They are all wearing long pants and a t-shirt or long sleeve pants but latter is what they usually wear. I went to Jaipur the next day. Traveled for almost 6 hours. On my way, I see people on the streets as if they were having a parade or a procession. Too many people on the streets with colorful clothes for the girls. First time I saw a camel with a wooden cart at the back fully loaded of logs. I wonder how could the camel pull the cart. People on the jeepney-like car more than full. I imagine how could they survive the heat and sit with a hairline gap to each other. When I was in Jaipur I could say that was the nicest city I've seen during my travel to Agra and Delhi. But I have not tried going to mausoleums or tombs or forts. I was thinking it was too much already. I think I've seen a lot. So I just wander downtown and eat pizza in Pizza Hut or chicken sandwich in McDonalds. Next morning, I hit the train going back to Delhi. The ride was 6 hours and another 30 minutes going back to the hotel. Sunday morning, I just lingered around the hotel's bar and I've thought of going back to Thailand. That day I went to an airline office and purchased a one way ticket to Thailand via Air India. No direct flight so I had to go to Bombay and from there to the La-La-Land. It was a safe flight. I did not go back to Bangkok because I had two days there before I traveled to India. So I rather stayed in Pattaya and went to the beach with some old Thai friends I’ve met last year when I was there. We went clubbing, drinking, partying and smoking dope. On my travel, I could say Philippines is nicer compare to India but Thailand is a really nice place. Everything is new. Everything is up-to-date. I would say that Bangkok is a good place to have a holiday for sometimes aside from it is not expensive but because of it's better place than Manila. Sometimes it is nice to be away and be in a strange land. See how people live in their country and live like them.
